Description | Pure Water Southern California is a large-scale regional water recycling initiative developed by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California in partnership with the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. The program aims to produce up to 150 million gallons of purified water per day, creating a drought-resilient local water supply by recycling wastewater through an innovative three-step purification process. The project includes building approximately 39 miles of pipeline, two pump stations, and multiple service connections to integrate with local groundwater basins and water treatment plants. |
