Purple Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) PPP project in Tel Aviv

The project involves the development of a new 29km LRT line in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Purple Line will connect the eastern parts of the Tel-Aviv metropolitan area (Ramat Gan, Yehud, Or Yehuda, Petach Tikvah and Givat Shmuel) to Tel-Aviv city center, stopping at 44 "at-grade" stations. The Purple Line will improve access to the heart of Tel-Aviv, Tel-Hashomer Hospital, Bar-Ilan University and other employment and leisure centers along the line. It is expected to serve 60 million passengers annually. A depot is planned at the terminus of the Purple Line, at HaTayasim junction, with facilities for light and heavy maintenance, stabling tracks and administration facilities. It will serve the Purple Line for the maintenance of approximately 100 vehicles. The scope of work of includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation and construction of all LRT elements within the LRT strip, including the LRT strip excavation, the multitabular (rail utilities infrastructure), tracks, catenary poles electrification, rail systems, signaling, at-grade stops, the technical rooms located outside the LRT Strip, the rolling stock and the depots.
