Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Pushkara Lift irrigation scheme is a major irrigation Lift irrigation project, constructed at left bank of River Godavari near Purushothapatnam village in Seethanagaram mandal in East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh state. This project contemplates to irrigation benefits to an extent of 75,235 Ha 1,85,906 acres during Kharif season with utilization of 334 M.cum 11.80 TMC of water from river Godavari intake wells of 1st stage pump house will be lifted from +13m to +40m level and runs for a length of 95.50km to provide irrigation facilities to an extent of 1,02,998 acres 41,682Ha and 2nd stage lifts at three different locations to an extent of 82,908 acres in the upland areas of East Godavari district besides providing drinking water facilities to 5.23 lakh people living in 143 villages en route canal and command area. The contemplated ayacut under the Pushkara Lift Irrigation Scheme is 75235 ha.
