Description | The El-Salvodorian company GreeNRG and the Spanish Enerland Group announced the development of the two solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants PV Gen (1.2 MW in capacity) and Grupo Roca (1.2 MW in capacity) located in Tecoluca, San Vicente. In March 2014, the sponsors were awarded a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) tendered by AES El Salvador, a subsidiary of the U.S company AES. The actual investment value was not available and hence an estimation was made on the basis of per MW construction cost of USD 0.9 million. The construction works started in April 2015 and were concluded in November 2015. |
