PY09 Transchaco route development PPP project in Paraguay

The project involves redevelopment and maintenance works for the 553 km long  Presidente Hayes - BoquerónPY09 Transchaco route in Paraguay.The works will be conducted in 4 sections with 2 lots each totaling 8 lots:Lot 1: km 50 to km 112;Lot 2: km 112 to km 173;Lot 3: km 173 to km 250;Lot 4: km 173 to km 250;Lot 5: km 326 to km 390;Lot 6: km 390 to km 450;Lot 7: km 450 to km 525; andLot 8: km 525 to km 603.The project is being developed under the modality of a Rehabilitation and Maintenance Contract (CREMA). The rehabilitation and maintenance works on the PY09 route and its accesses have the primary objective of enhancing the internal transit conditions within the country. As the key communication route linking the Chaco region with the administrative and economic center of Paraguay, the completion of these works will result in reduced transportation costs, improved internal communication, and enhanced territorial integration. Moreover, it will facilitate the efficient movement of goods and people between production and consumption areas. The project will also contribute to improved transit conditions, accessibility, and competitiveness of the country in foreign trade. This road is envisioned as a strategic integration logistics corridor, connecting Paraguay with interregional and global trade, including the Pacific coast through Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile.
