Description | Provincial owned building. This project is to replace this part of the roof at Queen Elizabeth Hospital that is 40 years old, and approximately 150,000 sq feet. The scope of the work is to replace with a similar type of roofing system. The new roofing system will be of conventional modified bitumen construction allowing for increased insulation. The Province of PEI endeavors to increase roof insulation where practical on all roofing projects, in line with NECB 2017. This project will relife this aging infrastructure and ensure that PEI’s largest health facility has a tight building envelope with improved energy efficiency by lowering heating and cooling costs. |
