project awarded

The project involves designing a 74,000 sq m elementary school masterplan within Qianjiang New City of Hangzhou, China. The school masterplan includes 48 teaching units, and specialized facilities for science, art, PE, IT, and performance art. Teaching blocks are strategically placed in the southeast for communication and collective learning. Shared facilities like the library and canteen are below the green deck, creating a central public space. There's an 800-seat performance theatre for the community. The design emphasizes earthy colors, and natural textures, and maximizes daylight and green spaces. This innovative hub accommodates 2,000 students, doubling as a child-friendly public space.
