Description | In November 2007, Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal Co. Ltd. (QQCT, refer to project 1634) formed a joint venture with Pan Asia International Shipping Limited (Hong Kong), Qingdao New Qianwan Container Terminal Co., Ltd. (QQCTN), to develop and operate the 3408m container quay on the southern coast of Qianwan Bay. With a collaboration of five partners from three countries, QQCTN builds the 3408m quay into 10 berths (four from Phase IV, another four from DP World and two from Pan Asia). Total investment of the Joint Venture Company amounts to US$1 billion. The structure of ownership is: QQCT 80% and and Pan Asia 20%. The annual capacity of the project is 6 million TEUs. |
