Description | In November 2004, Panriver Investment, a subsidiary of Hong Kong based Panva Gas Holding Ltd, and the local government of Qiqihar, Heilongjang Province, created Qiqihar Panva Gas Company to operate the natural gas pipeline business in Qiqihar city under a 30 year concession. The city was the second largest in Heilongjang Province with a population of 5.6 million and potential natural gas pipeline users of 1.48 million. Qiqihar Panva Gas Company was 61.65% owned by Panriver Investment, and the remaining was owned by state-owned Construction Investments Development Co. of Crane City Heilongjian Province. Panriver Investment paid RMB 77.21 million (US$ 9.43 million) for its participation in the company. Hong Kong based Panva Gas Holding Ltd was a publicly traded company in the Hong Kong stock exchange and was principally focused on commercialization of natural gas and liquefied petroleum in China mainland. |
