Quality and secure data: a cybersecurity strategy for National Statistical Offices

The main objective of this TC is to promote the adoption of a cybersecurity strategy tailored to the specific characteristics of National Statistical Offices (NSOs) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). TC specific goals include: (i) assessing the current state of cybersecurity in NSOs (protocols established, existing infrastructure, among other aspects) to identifying the main risks, challenges, and obstacles faced by participating NSOs in ensuring their cybersecurity; (ii) acquiring South Korea's advanced legal frameworks and technologies for data security and disseminate them to Latin American countries; and, (iii) designing a regional cybersecurity strategy and roadmaps aligned with the specificities of the NSOs participating in the project, covering the entire data production process (collection, transmission, analysis, and dissemination).
