Quality and transmission improvements in NA of the Slovak Republic including the GNI

The results of work carried out on all objectives leads to the improvements and developments of National Accounts. The outputs from individual work packages will provide an important input to evaluate different policies and increase the quality level of GNI estimate. In general, the main goal is to achieve consistency of NA and BoP data and to have methodological issues implemented. As concerns the individual objectives addressed within the grant project work, Slovakia is planned to apply for tasks within the three work packages (WP1-WP3). WP1 - This WP is focused on developing compilation methods and data sources relating to the ESA update as concerns Data as an Asset. WP2 - Regarding the work on this objective, the SO SR is planned to improve quality of GNI figure. Within this WP, four parts of methodological issues will be solved. It is about the ensuring of estimation of data for production of electricity by households, treatment of non-resident VAT traders, estimating of number of prostitutions and enhancing of estimation for smuggling of alcohol, cigarettes. WP3 - This WP is aimed to facilitate data availability, accuracy and timeliness of supply, use and input-output tables (SUIOTs). The SOSR will follow two areas out of 5. The first one is improving the timeliness of the first transmission of supply and use tables (T1500 and T1600) to T+24 months. The second area will be focused on transmission of detailed tables for taxes less subsidies (T1631-T1634) in current prices.
