Queen Street Bridge Rehabilitation

completed

The Queen Street Bridge between Main Street and Prospect Street in Newmarket underwent a major rehabilitation, one of the largest bridge projects in the town in over three decades. The project included strengthening the bridge superstructure for long-term durability, widening sidewalks, improving lighting, and supporting future GO Transit expansion and track electrification. The rehabilitation was initiated after structural inspections determined the need for superstructure replacement to ensure public safety and long-term reliability.
