Description

Description

After two years of exploring diverse strategies to refresh its business model, Qwest TV, a French indie contender in the music video streaming scene, is poised to stay ahead of the curve with its QWEST HVOD 360 initiative. This ambitious project is designed to refine our services, drive our global growth, and diversify our audiences, giving us a competitive edge. The European video-on-demand (VOD) market is still booming, thanks to American operators who, after the streaming wars, have found new ways to tackle subscription fatigue and tailor their offerings to today's inflationary environment. They cater to new audiences like Gen Z and Millennials, leveraging the latest technologies like 5G and connected devices (CTVs, mobiles), and updating their monetization strategies (think FAST, AVOD, EDU, DCB, etc.) to suit different regions and cultural nuances. They're also diving deep into data analytics to understand audience preferences and behaviors, fine-tuning their offerings and pricing accordingly. So, what can independent European VOD players learn from this? How can they adapt their business model to fit their own markets, audiences, and tech landscape, while also making enough profit to expand their content and introduce more European works to global audiences? The QWEST HVOD 360 project seeks to answer these questions by pushing forward and solidifying Qwest TV’s revenue stream diversification. The goal is to build a resilient economy to expand globally, invest in original content to rejuvenate its audiences, and base our strategic development on data analysis. Ultimately, the project aims to lay the foundations for a new, data-centric, and fully hybrid VOD business model that could serve as a blueprint for other indie European platforms and preserve our independence.
