Description | The Radhanesda project is a 700 MW AC grid-connected solar photovoltaic project located in Radhanesda, Gujarat. The project is being developed by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme Phase-II. It involves the procurement of solar modules, power transformers, and balance of system components, and is planned to be built on approximately 1,105 hectares of revenue land in Tharad district. The project has a total estimated cost of INR 3,847 crore, supported by solar park subsidy, viability gap funding, and SECI equity. Power generated will be sold to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) under a 25-year power purchase agreement at a tariff of INR 2.45/kWh, with commercial operations expected by February 6, 2028. |
