Description | The project aims to improve the risk assessment methodologies on violent radicalisation currently in place in Italy, Portugal, France, Bulgaria, Romania, Belgium & Cyprus, & develop an early warning system to detect & prevent extremist deviations among inmates. The project will involve key actors in dealing with radicalisation in EU prisons: P&P managers, judges, law practitioners, front line workers. The project provides for best practices sharing & exchange, training, raising awareness events; communication & dissemination through a dedicated website. Activities • research on radicalisation in P&P services • 6 transnational workshops on violent radicalisation in P&P • Development of an operational tool for CVE in P&P services • 5 transnational webinars to deliver the tool & to train practitioners • 6 study visits to project partners’ P&P services • Establishment of Project website • 7 advocacy meeting in participating Countries • 7 community meeting in participating Countries • 7 national conferences on dissemination of project results Target - 200 P&P managers - 400 front line workers - 560 judges, community leaders - 410 practitioners in webinars Expected results 1. Enhanced knowledge on detecting tools to counter violent radicalisation in P&P settings 2. Improved multi-agency approaches & cross sector collaboration against radicalisation Type & number of outputs to be produced • 1 collection of best practices & methodologies on violent radicalisation in P&P settings • 1 early warning system for radicalisation risk assessment • 1 collection of results from implementation of common risk assessment tool • 1 transnational Memorandum of Cooperation between participating Countries • Project website on national radicalisation • 7 national communities of law practitioners, of P&P managers & practitioners & of other stakeholders skilled in violent radicalisation • 7 national guidelines for the implementation of a national network & helpline • Monthly newsletter |
