Description | "The R.I.S.E project has emerged from partners' drive to (1) challenge de-facto recognition of LGBT families' rights in Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia through promoting diversity and improving social acceptance of LGBT families and (2) to ensure the full enjoyment of right to respect for family life and freedom of movement within the EU of LGBT citizens, by increasing civic understanding on consequences of existing national legislation in socio-economic conditions and quality of life of same sex couples. No Union funding should go to advocacy directly aiming to change the national legislation on a person’s status, including the definition of marriage, or to litigation targeting that legislation. Activities: Positive Role Model campaign; Development of the ""Daily Life Challenges"" Assessment of same-sex families in LT, LV, PL, RO, BG and SK; Advocacy and Lobbying interventions; Dissemination and awareness raising on LGBT families discourse; Type and number of persons benefiting from the project: 300.000 individuals of general population in each country; 25-30 Government officials/ key decision makers; 20-30 Same-sex couples/ families in each country; 50.000 LGBTI individuals in each country. Expected results: Increased awareness on non-discriminatory portrayal of LGBT families among general population; Improved knowledge of government stakeholders on quality of life of LGBT families; Strengthened LGBT people on right to respect for family life and free movement for LGBTI families; Increased support from LGBTI community and allies on same-sex couple issues. Type and number of deliverables to be produced: 1 Positive Role Model Campaign; 1 Campaign & Communication Strategy; 30 storytelling videos; 12 offline awareness raising events; 1 Assessment on ""Daily Life Challenges"" of LGBT; 30 qualitative interviews with same-sex couples; 6 focus groups; 1 Recommendation paper for government official and key stakeholders; 30 advocacy and lobbying meetings (6x5); 1 project dissemination Action Plan; 2500 informational leaflets; 60-100 social media posts; 1 Project highlights video; 1 International conference " |
