The Maison Familiale Rurale de Pont-de-Veyle (01290) offers a structured educational project over three years, designed to raise awareness among 24 middle school students about the history, construction and challenges of the European Union. By placing Italy at the heart of this project, the 4th and 3rd year students will explore the historical, cultural and institutional wealth of this country, the cradle of the European Union. This program is part of the objectives of the Jean Monnet program, promoting the fundamental values of the EU and encouraging critical thinking while integrating a progression adapted to school levels. The project is structured over 3 years on two levels 4th and 3rd. Namely 1st year 4th, 2nd year 4th and 3rd (former 4th) and final year 3rd. First year: Level 4th - The foundations of the EU The project is structured around four key themes, with a particular focus on Italy. To do this, a foreign culture EPI module will be integrated into the new training plan which will complement the modules participating in the project, namely History Geography EMC, ESC and French. The objective of this year is to lay the foundations of the EU, from its geography to its creation, with Italy as the common thread. The main objectives of these phases are - Know European geography. - Understand the context, the values. - Become familiar with European institutions and European citizenship. - Have a critical reflection on European issues. Second year: Level 3rd - An immersive experience in Italy As for the 4th year, the project for 3rd year students is structured around four main stages: - Deepening of the context of the Second World War - Preparation of the educational trip - Educational trip to Italy - Feedback and assessment of experience
