The project involves the provision of loan to RAK (Gao Yao) Ceramics Co. Ltd. (RAK China) to finance the construction of a new 20,000 square meter/day ceramic tile manufacturing line at RAK China’s existing tile manufacturing plant in Gao Yao, Guangdong Province, China. The project is designed to have state-of-the-art technology and the ability to produce high margin, good quality, affordable tiles for the local markets. RAK China’s parent company, RAK Ceramics has, located at its base at Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, one of the largest ceramic tiles and sanitary ware companies in the world with an annual capacity of 2.5 million pieces of sanitary ware and over 40 million square meters of ceramic tiles. RAK Ceramics has other manufacturing plants in Bangladesh, India and Iran (under construction), Slovakia and Sudan, and sales and distribution offices in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Australia. RAK Ceramics' products are exported to more than 125 countries across 5 continents. RAK Ceramics works closely with leading European ceramic machinery manufacturers and uses modern technology which it continuously upgrades each time production capacity is expanded.
