​The timber wharf at Sandy Bay (Rakino) is approaching the end of it's serviceable life. A like-for-like replacement has been designed. Scope includes: replacement of timber pile & waler system including all fixings ie. squisher blocks, extensive concrete seawall repairs behind berth face, balustrade replacement, and re-pointiong of the seawall running to the northeast from this facility. During the 2022 works it was noted that the seawall required far more extensive repairs than had been originally scoped, and a new design shuttering off the entire wall behind the berth face was undertaken by LDE, with works varied onto the contract. ​ ​ Local Board = Waiheke
