Description | Honeywell is collaborating with Ramsey County, Minnesota to implement building automation and energy management technology across 10 county-managed ice rinks and the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation office. The project aims to reduce electricity costs by nearly 20%, lower operational costs, and support the county's Climate Equity Action Plan to reduce energy use and pursue 100% carbon-free energy sources in county-owned facilities. The upgrades include smarter connected systems, energy-efficient LED lighting, building envelope sealing, carbon management via Honeywell Forge platform, enhanced HVAC controls, replacement of gas-fired heating with modern systems, solar panel installations on two large ice rinks, and refrigerant leak detection upgrades on four arenas. |
