Description	Economic/Social Impact of the Project EOL entered into a 35 year contract with Government of India for exploration and production of CBM on July 26, 2002 for the East Raniganj block RG [East]-CBM-2001/I and were granted the Petroleum Exploration License [PEL] by the Government of West Bengal on March 29, 2005 and hold 100percentage participating interest in the block. The field development plan entails drilling of around 365 wells by mid-2014 along with the installation of surface facilities [gas handling, water treatment] and associated pipelines to process and transport more than 3 MMSCMD of gas. Over the life of the field, EOL envisages the drilling of 600 - 650 wells to support the plateau production.
