Rare Earth Elements Collaboration between GMDC and NMDC

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) and NMDC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on opportunities in the rare earth elements (REE) sector. The partnership focuses on various stages of the rare earth value chain including mineral exploration, mining, processing, and downstream applications. A key focus is the Ambadungar rare earth deposit in Gujarat, where technical studies on mining methods and processing techniques will be conducted to assess project feasibility and business models. The collaboration also aims to explore building a rare earth value chain in Gujarat, covering exploration, mining, beneficiation, processing, and supply to downstream industries. Technical studies and knowledge exchange will be part of the agreement to evaluate resource potential and development options.
