With this grant we intend to create a vertical slice of a video game, code-named RP, suitable for pitching to potential publishers. RP is a narrative-oriented sci-fi computer game to be created by Mystic Systems. We already have one publisher and one physical distributor who have expressed interest in the project, and in-house expertise to bring the game to all contemporary game platforms. We are a small team of game developers from Ireland, England, Slovakia by way of Georgia, Sweden, and the US. Our plan is to create this vertical slice within 36 months, and pitch it to publishers for full production. This grant would give us a huge leg up in terms of getting a playable demo of the game in front of decision makers who could help take it the rest of the way.
