Description

Description

The project involves the construction of a multi-level parking facility at Raviwar Karanja in Nashik, Maharashtra, India, to address chronic parking shortages and traffic congestion in one of the city’s busiest commercial areas. Planned by the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) at an estimated cost of around INR300 million (US$3.3 million), the project is being implemented through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) under the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) model, where a private developer will construct and operate the facility for a fixed concession period before transferring it back to the civic body. After receiving a weak response to the earlier tender, NMC has invited fresh bids with revised conditions, hoping to attract more developers and move forward with what is expected to be the city’s first multi-storey parking project, aimed at improving urban mobility and reducing roadside parking in the congested market zone.
