Description | The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued final project financing norms effective from October 1, 2025, which include key relaxations such as lower provisioning requirements for standard assets in under construction and operational projects. Additional provisions for Date of Commencement of Commercial Operations (DCCO) deferred standard assets are also reduced, and income recognition for these assets is on an accrual basis. These guidelines do not apply to projects with financial closure before October 1, 2025. |
