Description | The project entails a total financing package of up to RON720 million (approximately equivalent to US$169 million) for Raiffeisen Bank S.A. (“RBRO”, or “the Bank”), an existing IFC client in Romania. The package consists of the following components: 1) Up to RON240 million investment in a Basel III compliant subordinated bond (B3T2) to be issued by RBRO as Tier 2 capital.2) Up to RON480 million senior loan. IFC’s investment will help RBRO expand its lending to SMEs and mortgage borrowers in the country, including green mortgages, as well as its financing of SEF (sustainable energy finance) projects. |
