This integrated approach to crisis preparedness will effectively address the essential needs of Caribbean populations exposed to natural hazards and the effects of climate change. Regional cooperation, through enhanced coordination, pooling of resources and collective promotion of risk culture is essential to address the major challenges of natural hazards and climate change in the Caribbean. Overall objective: Strengthen the preparedness and response capacities of Caribbean populations facing the major risks and consequences of climate change. Axis 1: Strengthening regional disaster coordination and management mechanisms: Promotion of legislative and legal frameworks promoting risk reduction and the deployment of emergency humanitarian operations between Caribbean territories in the event of crises. Construction of a regional humanitarian support warehouse for the Caribbean area. Proposal for emergency stocks in several territories. Strengthening the operational capacity of National Red Cross Societies to respond to major crises. Training of Caribbean emergency crews ready to be deployed at regional level. Axis 2: Increasing the preparedness and resilience of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs: Deployment of a free Red Cross mobile phone app to assist entrepreneurs in the development of their business continuity plan in the event of a disaster. Organisation of Business forums to disseminate tools to support the preparation of entrepreneurs in 3 Caribbean territories (Martinique, Guadeloupe and Saint Lucia). Axis 3: Raising awareness of risk culture and adaptation to climate change: Creation of an annual regional awareness-raising event. Conducting advocacy activities at the regional level.
