Description | Realta Fusion and Commonwealth Fusion Systems have formed a long-term strategic partnership for the design and manufacturing of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets. These magnets will be used by Realta to accelerate the commercialization of its compact, scalable, modular CoSMo fusion energy systems based on the magnetic mirror fusion concept. The partnership includes development of magnets for demonstration prototypes and commercial fusion power plants, along with talent-sharing to support design, manufacturing, deployment, and operation of HTS magnets for magnetic mirror fusion systems. |
