Rebooting manufacturing industry with digitalisation skill development

The REBOOT SKILLS project brings together a novel mix of education providers and professional organizations from five countries – Finland, Sweden, Ireland, Belgium and Italy - to deliver a bespoke upskilling model of advanced digital skills-based training that will jointly empower workers and the manufacturing industry at this critical time for European manufacturing industry ecosystem. The training model is designed with a particular focus on the training needs of SMEs. The REBOOT SKILLS consortium brings together four higher education partners – University of Oulu, University of Limerick, Technical University of Luleå and Katholic University of Leuven, and four professional organizations – Flanders Make, Skillnet Ireland, MADE and DIMECC. The consortium will deliver 25 free-of-charge seminars and courses targeted to employees of manufacturing industry SMEs or unemployed people wishing to find an employment in manufacturing industry, each co-designed and co-delivered by consortium partners in different countries. The 25 REBOOT SKILLS courses focus on key capacity areas AI, cybersecurity, robotics, IoT. REBOOT SKILLS training program will reskill and upskill 1197 participants with digital skills which are tailored to fit the needs of manufacturing industry ecosystem, and particularly SME organizations working in the European ecosystem.
