Description

Description

COVID19 has robbed various opportunities incl. education, employment, mobility and democratic participation from youth. A big reason for this was its immediate disruption of youth organisations’ work in reaching out to youth and in particular those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Contributing to building on tools for engagement, capacity and resilience in the youth field is thus essential for recovery and rebooting youth participation on local, national and EU level. REBOOT: to be ACHIEVED is the third of three steps to get YEU back to and eventually beyond its pre-COVID19 conditions. In line with its three year FPA and directly contributing to the EU Youth Strategy 2019-27, the legacies of EYY22 and EYS23 as well as priorities for 2025, YEU’s Work Plan 2025 will continue to CONNECT, EMPOWER and ENGAGE young people and youth organisations and further intensify its progress of reaching sustainable post-COVID19 recovery in the field of youth through below objectives: Strengthen relations with and between MOs to connect and share capacities Enhance engagement and empowerment in youth work through capacity building activities to strengthen direct outreach to youth Build on awareness-raising and advocacy activities to CONNECT, ENGAGE and EMPOWER more youth to take active part in their communities and contribute to decision-making processes on different levels including in EU Elections. Objectives will be achieved through activities incl. capacity building workshops, awareness raising and advocacy directed at various target groups: MOs, YWs, Young people and Policy Makers - benefitting a total of 3000 persons, always with young people’s interest at core. Written (reports, policy papers), digital (recordings, podcast, newsmails) and established (Advocacy Ambassadors) outputs will be created, updated and lead to a more connected, empowered and engaged network and through it contribute with young people’s voices to the overall field of youth.
