Description | The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) is seeking proposals to conduct a research program that investigates the developmental patterns and correlates of recidivism using the data collected by the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1997 (NLSY97). The goal of this program is to develop a better understanding of the legal, social, economic and educational factors that influence juvenile and criminal recidivism and successful reentry. The project will be conducted over an 18-month period beginning October 2010, and will result in (1) a public access database that can service a range of recidivism studies and (2) publications that delve into the various correlates of recidivism. |
