Reconstruction of Existing Watermain and Storm Sewer Infrastructure on Algonquin Crescent and Haida Drive

This project will include the following works: conversion of existing rural storm sewer system (including open ditches) to an urban underground storm water system. Consideration will be given to the installation of Low Impact Development (LID) controls such as perforated storm pipes, bioswales and bioretention units recommended in the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan for water quality improvement. The works will also include the construction of a new watermain and minor improvements to the existing sanitary sewer system manholes. Included in the project, but not being included in the eligible costs is the road reconstruction and installation of curbs and sidewalks. The existing watermain is a 150mm and it will be replaced with a 200mm. The new storm pipes will vary in size from 300mm to 450mm.
