Description | The project will reconstruct nine roads that total 2.5 kilometres in Wawa, Ontario. The reconstruction of the Wawa school zone will: repair frost heaves; improve drainage; replace curbs, gutters, sidewalks and ramps; resurface roads; and repaint pavement markers. In addition, the project will install new assets that include a pedestrian crossing, bike lanes, sidewalks, a bus loading zone and parking. The project will improve road safety and reliability for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists, support better traffic flow, facilitate active transportation, and reduce operation and maintenance costs. |
