Description | The project involves upgrading the existing Portarlington water reclamation plant, which processes municipal wastewater, effluent or industrial wastewater into Class B water that can be used for a variety of non-drinking purposes. Upgrades to the water reclamation plant include the installation of an ultra-filtration and reverse osmosis plant. This will improve both water quality and the volume of recycled water supplied. The project will provide secure Class B recycled water for high value agriculture and horticulture production on the Bellarine Peninsula. Construction is expected to commence in mid-2024. |
