This project involves the replacement of BioBio region's four hospitals located in Santa Bárbara, Nacimiento, Coronel and Lota. The project involves the design, construction, equipment supply, and operation of all four hospitals. The network will provide 569 beds and benefit 414 thousand people in BioBio region. Santa Bárbara Hospital: covering a surface area of 12,000 m2 this hospital unit will have 37 beds; 21 boxes for medical, dental, and non-medical consultations; an emergency service; a minor surgery pavilion; a room for imminent delivery; a Hemodialysis Unit (with 6 chairs); Community Health Center Mental (COSAM); an Hogar Madre Pewenche (with 10 places) as well as diagnostic and therapeutic support units. This hospital is expected to serve 22,000 inhabitants of the Santa Bárbara, Quilaco, and Alto Bio Bío communes. Hospital de Nacimiento: This hospital complex will be developed on an area of ​​13 thousand m2 with 47 beds; hospitalization services; outpatient care (scheduled and emergency); 29 boxes for medical, dental, and non-medical consultations; endoscopy unit, diagnostic and therapeutic support units (imaging, laboratory, medicine physical and rehabilitation); an imminent delivery care room; an emergency service; a Psychiatry Day Hospital (with 10 places) as well as administrative and logistical support spaces. Hospital de Nacimiento will cater approx. 36 thousand inhabitants of the communes of Nacimiento and Negrete. Coronel Hospital: With a surface area of ​​79 thousand m2, the coronel hospital will have 353 beds - distributed in basic care (60), medium (257), and critical patient (36); 53 boxes for medical, dental, and non-medical consultations; 21 procedure rooms; 9 operating rooms; 3 Comprehensive delivery care rooms; Psychiatric Day Hospital (with 30 places); a Community Mental Health Center (COSAM); Hemodialysis Unit (with 19 chairs) and emergency service. This hospital will serve a population close to 308 thousand people in the communes of Coronel, San Pedro de la Paz and Santa Juana. Lota Hospital: This hospital complex will cover a surface area of ​​40 thousand m2 with 132 beds - distributed in 41 for basic care and 91 for medium care; 19 boxes for medical, dental, and non-medical consultations; 20 procedure rooms; 5 operating rooms; 2 rooms for comprehensive delivery care; Psychiatric Day Hospital (with 30 places); Community Mental Health Center (COSAM); Hemodialysis Unit (with 6 armchairs) and emergency service.
