Description | BMI Group and Rock Tech Lithium have entered into a strategic partnership to develop a lithium refinery on a brownfield site in Red Rock, Ontario. BMI is investing $200 million towards the development of the industrial site and a feasibility study. The refinery will process lithium concentrate from Rock Tech's Georgia Lake deposit into battery-grade lithium carbonate, with a projected production of 30,000 tonnes per year. The site is the former Norampac mill, a 337-acre waterfront property on Lake Superior's north shore. |
