The Project entails construction of a new Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) to provide secondary (enhanced) level treatment of wastewater with some components of tertiary treatment, replacing the existing facility which provides primary level treatment only. The Project scope will include decommissioning and demolition of the existing primary treatment plant and outfall pipe as well as the following planned capital works and construction elements of the new water pollution control plant: •Construction of a new administrative and process building structure which includes a headworks area for screening and grit removal, an area for chemical storage tanks and chemical feed systems, a Motor Control Center (MCC) room, an administrative area, a basement area to house pumps and blowers, ultraviolet (UV) effluent disinfection area, and a submersible type sewage pumping station. •Supply and Installation of process equipment and components including primary and secondary clarifiers, biological treatment unit featuring Rotating Biological Contactors (RBC), cloth disk filters, bio-solids aerobic digester, storage tanks for phosphorous removal & alkalinity dosing system, effluent water pumps, sludge pumps and chambers at various stages of treatment system. •Mechanical works including process piping, process valves, HVAC, ductwork and accessories, and mechanical insulation. •Electrical works, including backup diesel generator, MCC panels, electrical ducts, transfer switch, cables, wires and conduits. •Process Control and Instrumentation including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), automated effluent sampler, metering/transmitters/analyzers devices for monitoring and control of flow, pressure, level, and other process parameters as required. •General works, including concrete, masonry, metals, wood and plastics, thermal and moisture protection, and doors and windows. •Various site works including, but not limited to, demolition, process tank cleanout, dewatering
