Information Ministry of Railways has come up with Redevelopment of Ahmedabad railway station and associated infrastructure on engineering, procurement and construction mode with a ticket size of 2379 INR Crores. This project in Railway Terminal Infrastructure sub-sector involves Redevelopment of Ahmedabad Railway Station The current status of the project is Tender Award and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Project envisages integration of heritage monuments and new City Centre at the Station, by providing world-class infrastructure in the form of Multimodal Transport Hub [MMTH], Multi-Level Car Parking [MLCP], Skywalk, Landscape Plazas, and Architecturally Aesthetic Station. This redevelopment will integrate both sides of the city. An elevated road network shall decongest the station and multimodal integration of Bullet Train, Metro, BRT and Rail shall offer enhanced experience and mobility to passengers and city dwellers.
