Redevelopment of Boulevard Circulaire Sud

The project involves the redevelopment of Boulevard Circulaire Sud and its surroundings. The boulevard will be converted into a two-lane road with new public lighting, traffic lights, and innovative equipment to improve traffic flow. Additionally, there will be the development or extension of 5.6 km of cycle paths, creation of wider and safer pavements, pedestrian crossings, parking spaces, re-vegetation of the boulevard and fallow spaces, planting of more than 500 trees, reduction of heat islands, reduction of noise and air pollution, and redevelopment of seventeen intersections. On the Michelet side, a south-facing forecourt will be created to improve access to the Michelet district from Puteaux. The project also includes innovative developments for the road network, such as Flowell, an innovative road marking system, intelligent traffic management system, economical and intelligent urban lighting system, and equipment for providing speed advice to motorists. The redevelopment of Boulevard Circulaire de La Défense, renamed Boulevard Patrick-Devedjian, will begin in 2026. The project has been initiated by Paris La Défense and the Hauts-de-Seine Departmental Council.
