Information Ministry of Railways has come up with Redevelopment of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus [CSMT] and construction of associated infrastructure with a ticket size of 1813 INR Crores. This project in Railway Terminal Infrastructure sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Redevelopment of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus [CSMT] and construction of associated infrastructure Project is undertaken through EPC Contract to construct an Iconic station building with state of art facilities and infrastructures in accordance with good industry Practices and Applicable laws including sustainable environment, waste management and cleanliness. The main component of the project include: -extending & conservation of Heritage character, -Well designed, horizon of 100 years. -Spacious Double level Suburban Concourse of size 112m x 77m & Long-Distance Concourse of size 67m x 122m over platform with all passenger amenities at one place along with spaces for retail, cafeterias, recreational facilities connecting all sides of buildings and all Platforms. -Arrival FOBs: 2 nos. [Each 12m wide] -Skywalk Connection: 01 no. [28m wide] -Multiple entries and ease of access to station from all sides. -Decongestion of the Existing South Heritage node & adequate Parking facilities. -Integration with Metro Line 3.
