Information Ministry of Railways has come up with Redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station and construction of associated infrastructure with a ticket size of 4744 INR Crores. This project in Railway Terminal Infrastructure sub-sector involves redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station. The current status of the project is Tender Award and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Re-development of New Delhi Railway Station project shall be undertaken through EPC Contract to construct an iconic Railway Station with state-of-art facilities and infrastructure in accordance with Good Industry Practices and Applicable Laws including sustainable environment, waste management and cleanliness. The main components of the project include: -Linear Station Buildings alongside platform no. 1 and 16 -Concourse in the airspace over the platforms & tracks -Elevated and on ground Road network -Multi-Modal Transport Hub MMTH -Residential Staff Quarters Type II and III -Parcel Tunnel and other facilities -Platform Refurbishment -Cover over Platforms -Ballastless track and Coach watering System -Utilities and Services -Parking provisions
