Description | Completed September 2017 Marin Transit led the design and construction of a new design for the transit facility located at Redwood and Grant in downtown Novato. The Redwood and Grant Transit Improvement Project (RGTIP) was a coordinated effort between Marin Transit, Golden Gate Transit, and the City of Novato. After seven months of demolition and construction, the contractor put the finishing touches on the Redwood and Grant Transit Improvement Project (RGTIP). On September 6th, Marin Transit hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to commemorate the completion of the RGTIP project, Construction also displaced our bus riders who have waited patiently for the new and improved site. Bus operations returned to the median on Thursday, September 21st! Passengers were welcomed to the new facility starting with the first bus arriving at 4:56 am.
