Refit of Dry Cargo Vessel Hirschhorn

Concordia Damen received a contract from Reederei Deymann for an extensive refit of the dry cargo vessel Hirschhorn. The project involves complete renewal of the aft ship, replacing the single engine and propeller shaft with a twin-shaft propulsion system powered by two new diesel-electric engines. The accommodation and wheelhouse will be rebuilt to improve comfort, ergonomics, visibility, and compliance with modern standards. The refit aims to extend the vessel's lifetime, enhance propulsion efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and enable sailing in shallow waters.
