Description
Description | The aim of the project is to support the Namibian government in implementing comprehensive structural reforms, particularly in the areas of fiscal stability and promoting economic transformation and effective governance. The reforms are based in particular on the Harambee Prosperity Plan II (HPP II), adopted by the Namibian government in 2021, in which the Namibian government defined various areas of intervention and backed them up with implementation plans. After the policy reforms agreed in the Policy Matrix and the implementation steps specified therein have been fulfilled, an ODA-eligible promotional loan will be provided and disbursed to the Republic of Namibia, represented by the Ministry of Finance, as a local currency loan. The policy-based financing approach is intended to support the implementation of reform measures that contribute to the country's socio-economic development and broad-based economic growth, thus supporting Namibia in its socio-ecological economic transformation. |
