The plan consolidates ongoing efforts to address homelessness and guide future investments in housing and homelessness services. The last plan ended in 2025, and the updated plan will be reviewed by provincial officials before final approval by the regional council. The region invested $218 million in housing and homelessness services last year, with plans to increase this to over $265 million in 2026. Three planned affordable housing projects are currently on pause due to high construction and financing costs. |
