Description | This intervention is related to a trade Finance Line of Credit facility. It comprises two components, namely: (i) USD 50 million and (ii) EUR 50 million to support ECOWAS Bank for Investment and development (EBID)’s trade finance activities and its participation in the agricultural value chain in West Africa. EBID will on-lend to commercial banks and local enterprises to support their trade finance needs. The Facility will support enterprises in the agriculture and soft commodity space, who will in turn support purchase of fertilizer and strategic commodities like rice, sorghum, maize and fertilizers. The Facility will ultimately benefit local enterprises, cooperatives and farmers involved in the agricultural value chain in West Africa region. |
