Regional Eurostar Train Link from Manchester to Paris and Brussels

cancelled

The Regional Eurostar scheme was a planned train service that would have operated between towns and cities across the UK and the French and Belgian capitals. The route would have utilized the West Coast mainline to facilitate trains running between Manchester Piccadilly and mainland European cities such as Paris and Brussels. The plan included two daily trains with stops at various stations including Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport. However, the project never got off the ground and was eventually shelved due to economic viability concerns and competition with low-cost airlines.
