Description

Description

Vanilla Islands Organisation (VIO) is an association governed by the Act of 1 July 1901 and the Decree of 16 August 1901, the object of which is the development of tourism in the Indian Ocean area based on the cultural identity of each of these islands. It is composed of the tourism committees of Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Reunion and Mayotte. It places its project in a dimension of general interest and regional cooperation by valuing the assets of each of its members and by seeking to establish exchanges of information, good practices and experience between tourism stakeholders. Thus, and in this context, the VIO association will support the institutional actors of tourism in order to provide them with elements for a more effective action aimed at developing the number of tourists with a high contribution in the territories concerned, in coordination with the tourism offices in place. VIO has been implementing annual tourism cooperation programmes since 2013. The 2016 programme is divided into 6 actions: webmastering, translation, monitoring, animation, roadshow and communication.
