This project involves the design, financing, building, operation and maintenance of a public rail passenger transportation system in Bogotá, Colombia.  The train line will connect Bogotá with municipalities that make up the Sabana de Occidente region such as Funza, Mosquera, Madrid, and Facatativá in the department of Cundinamarca.The private partner will carry out, at its own risk, all the necessary activities for financing, studies and designs, social and environmental management, execution of construction works, works of the ANI workshop, adaptation works and repair of deviations, works for networks, operation, maintenance, partial reversion and reversal of the infrastructure corresponding to the REGIO, as well as financing, studies and designs, installation, supply, testing, commissioning, operation, replacement, maintenance and reversal of rolling stock, rail systems and the provision of public passenger rail transport service.The project features 39.6 kilometers of railway, of which 14.7 will be located in the urban area of ​​Bogotá and will include the construction of 17 stations (eight will be located in the municipalities of Sabana Occidente). It will be a 100% electric system. The concession contract will have an execution period of 26 years (4 years of work and 22 years of operation).
