Registers, micro-data linking and MNEs in business statistics

SURS participated in European profiling in Eurostat grants for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019. With European profiling we got a better insight into the largest multinational enterprise groups (MNE) and their constituent statistical units in the national business register and in the Eurogroups Register (EGR). These registers are considered as backbone for producing national business statistics and globalisation related statistics. On basis of this Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia (SURS) will in this project use updated European Profiling methodology for European profiling of MNEs that have been agreed jointly with the national economic statistics domains. The countries that are European partners will benefit of the European profiling because results will be available in the IPT. They will receive more complete picture of the MNEs. They will also benefit through the improvement of the EuroGroups Register.
